America's Commerce Corps™

Growing Local by Showing Local™

What is America’s Commerce Corps™?

America’s Commerce Corps™ (ACC) is a nationwide coalition of individuals, businesses, nonprofits, and public agencies that provides tools and advocacy to help locally-owned businesses not only survive, but thrive!

Our primary tool to help achieve this goal is ComCon™, a dynamic map-based search engine that only shows businesses owned and operated by members of your community!

Don’t “just google it”; we want everyone to “just ComCon it!”

Our “Why”

America’s Commerce Corps™ was founded to give local businesses affordable access to the same advanced tools as regional and national competitors.

Local businesses drive our national economy, with 50% of US GDP and 67% of new jobs generated by small businesses. Unlike corporations, our local businesses hire locally, pay taxes locally, and buy locally, making them the driver of local economies. So whatever may be happening in our country or around the world, it is what is happening in our community that defines our quality of life.

While the explosion of e-commerce allows us to purchase items on our smartphones and see them delivered to our front door a day later, it is putting the squeeze on local businesses. Competing for customers online requires a significant investment of time or money, two things local businesses don’t have at the same scale as national competitors. Therefore, local businesses must compete on a field that is tilted decidedly towards national chains—even for customers in their own community!

America’s Commerce Corps™ was developed to prevent the further erosion of unity within our community as local businesses, and their positive impact, continue to slowly fade away. Preserve the uniqueness and resilience of your local community—join America’s Commerce Corps™ today!

Our “Why”

ComCon™

The cornerstone of ACC’s programs for small businesses is ComCon™, short for “Community Connection.” It’s a free, searchable map that only populates with locally-owned businesses. ComCon helps local businesses be “seen” and compete in the e-commerce space. Check it out at www.ComCon.mobi

Sprocket®

Sprocket is a business optimization program developed by ACC Founder and SBA Small Business Person of the Year Stephanie Hau. This dynamic program helps leaders analyze and reengineer their organization to improve effectiveness and efficiency.

Community Partners

ACC partners with local business advocacy groups, such as chambers of commerce and business alliances, as well as community banks. Their sponsorship fuels ACC’s work. In return, ACC helps these community partners achieve their priorities:

Priority #1: Help their members succeed by improving their e-commerce and visibility by using ComCon.

Priority #2: Gather data and insights about members through ACC’s Member Analytics™ tool.

Local Businesses

For an annual membership fee of $100, any local business can be included in ComCon™ and be “visible” to their customers.

YOU!

The success of America’s small businesses depends on engaged, thoughtful citizens like YOU who understand the value that locally owned businesses bring to your community. America’s Commerce Corps makes it easier than ever before to support your local merchants!
